The Biggest Upset in American Political History
Just think about it for a second. A 46 year old one term African American senator with a funny name that was born in Hawaii and lived overseas will be the Democratic nominee for the President of the United States. Has there been a bigger upset in American political history? To get to this point, he had to defeat a two term senator and former first lady who happened to be married to the most popular Democrat in the country. Has anyone come from virtually nowhere to come this far?. By early January of 2008, Hillary Clinton was leading Obama nationally 43%-23%, with John Edwards getting 16%. On Jan. 3rd however, Obama won the Iowa Caucus by 8%, sending shock waves around the nation and the world. Obama would go on to win in states big and small and in different parts of the country to eventually win a close and hard fought victory over Hillary Clinton. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has a Western nation ever elected a black man? Come November, Barack Obama could be the first one...ever.It doesn't matter if you are Democrat or Republican, we can all feel good that history has been made. Forty years after his famous speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream seems to be finally coming true.

The Always Old Morgan Freeman
For as long as I can remember, Morgan Freeman has always looked old. From "Glory", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Bruce Almighty", through his Academy Award winning performance in "Million Dollar Baby", and to his upcoming film role in the batman sequel, "The Dark Knight", he has been the wise old actor that has dominated the big screen (and movie narrations). His gravitas and his presence are among the many reasons why he's had staying power in Hollywood. But I must ask this question...do you remember Morgan Freeman ever looking young?. Even when he was on "The Electric Company" television show, where he taught many illegitimate hippie offspring (just kidding) how to read, he always looked older than his actual age. Recently, Mr. Freeman has complained that he seems to get the same type of roles every time, the distinguished and wise authority figure. I can answer as to why this is so, it's because since we can remember, he's always looked old.
I almost wrote a different article. It would have been titled "The Always Young Drew Barrymore".
